I was just thinking. . .

I am very happily married to my best friend, Josh since August 2004. We had our first baby girl, Allie this past August and are loving out new role as mom and dad. Josh is currently working at NBBC as well as heading up the youth group at our church. God has shown himself in great and mighty ways to us and we are excited about the work he is doing in both of our lives.

Count down. . .

Well, I have officially decided not to take a childbirth class! After talking it over with various people and reading all the advice some of you gave me I figured I will still survive and keep the $75 in my pocket!
I went to the doctor last week and they moved my due date up yet another week - and believe me I was not complaining. What originally started as a Sept 15 D date is now at approx Sept 2. This is only because as a diabetic, my Dr. doesn't want me to go past 38-39 weeks in order to lower any possible complications. So instead of 9 1/2 more weeks I only have 7 1/2 weeks left!
I am excited this week because I am having another ultrasound! I am going to Green Bay to my specialist and he will be checking the baby very thouroughly for any problems. And since my husband and my mom are both going to be out of town on that day I am excited to be taking my mother in law with me (she just happens to be here for a visit!).
When I was at the doctor today they asked me what Dr. I wanted for the baby and then they presented my with my hospital registration card - so needless to say, it's starting to hit home that it's not all that far away!
Josh and I are both getting excited to meet our new little family member! I was amazed the other night at how intense her movement was. We were at a fireworks display and as soon as they started going off I thought she was going jump right through my stomach! (I'm not sure if that was all due to the loud noise or from what her momma had for dinner =).

Sarah! It's so good to hear things are going well! I can't wait to see pictures of your baby! How exciting. It seems like there are a lot of girls out here having babies pretty close to the same time as you, so it helps me imagine what you are going through!
We're staying busy this summer - we bought a house - so that has been really fun to fix up. Come see us some time - well, I guess it will be a while :) We miss you!

Sarah, how very exciting. I can't remember, do you guys have a name picked out, or is it a secret?

Wow, only 7 1/2 more weeks! I can't wait to meet baby girl Neighbors! It is coming so quickly! It seems like just yesterday Dr. Von announced it to everyone at chapel. You look great and we are so happy for you! We will enjoy your little baby until we are ready for our own. Have fun at your ultra-sound later this week. I am sure it will be fun to see the baby again, especially now that she is so much bigger.

Yeah! You're in the homestretch. It will go by so fast, especially if they keep moving the date up for you!

I'm so happy for you that your due date got moved up! It was such a relief to me that Taylor came early, and I remember what it felt like to be waiting and waiting. I'm sure it was wonderful to see the baby on an ultrasound again. Only a few more weeks until you can see her for real! Oh, and the childbirth thing - nothing can prepare you for it. It was the hardest thing I've ever done in my entire life. Advice: get an epidural, I wish I did! :)
