I was just thinking. . .

I am very happily married to my best friend, Josh since August 2004. We had our first baby girl, Allie this past August and are loving out new role as mom and dad. Josh is currently working at NBBC as well as heading up the youth group at our church. God has shown himself in great and mighty ways to us and we are excited about the work he is doing in both of our lives.

bits and pieces. . .

I guess it's been a while since I last blogged! Summer is winding down here in the Northwoods; Camp is over and students will start coming this next week for pre-season! I can't believe how fast the summer has gone by - I'm thinking it would be nice to have a least another month =) But I am enjoying the last few weeks that are left. This last week my cousin' Matt and Joanna Egerdahl moved in next door! We have already had so much fun and I am looking forward to having them around for the next couple years while Matt finishes grad school.

Josh and I have been busy with work (which I am sooooo ready to be done with), church and getting things ready for the baby. The Lord has been showering us with reminders of his goodness and his promise to provide for all of our needs. Last week I was feeling a little discouraged about the mounting bills involved with having a high risk pregnancy and then with the realization of all the baby needs that are coming up. It has been so neat to see how God has truly been providing for all our needs from unexpected money gifts to bags of diapers. I am in awe of how personal our God is - He truly does care for what may seem like the smallest things in my life . . .what a comforting reassurance of His love and grace.

Well, the baby's nursery is about have done. . .got all the furniture and bedding (great deal on ebay!) So now we just need a few finishing touches! I will post pics when it's all done. (which hopefully will be soon!) Only a little less than three weeks!

Amen, sister! God has a way of encouraging and providing like only He can at just the right time. I was kind of discouraged to be seperated from all my loved ones when I was pregnant/giving birth but He sent so many things my way to ease the burden :-)

Not too much longer to go! The Lord is so good and always provides for His own. We've seen it first hand with our baby - we've hardly had to pay for anything so far because so many people have been so generous. Praying for you!

Hi Sarah! For some reason, you crossed my mind this morning in church. I was thinking "I wonder if she's had her baby yet". You are on the final stretch alright. I'm looking forward to seeing the nursery post :) We are on our second, but it's a boy this time so it's pretty much back to square one with nursery decor :) Take care!
