I was just thinking. . .

I am very happily married to my best friend, Josh since August 2004. We had our first baby girl, Allie this past August and are loving out new role as mom and dad. Josh is currently working at NBBC as well as heading up the youth group at our church. God has shown himself in great and mighty ways to us and we are excited about the work he is doing in both of our lives.

Babymoon and blues

Last week Josh and I celebrated our 2nd year anniversary ! He totally suprised me by whisking me away to Appleton for a little "babymoon" getaway. We went to our favorite restaurant, the Melting Pot (if you've never been you have got to try it - the atmosphere is very romantic and the food is not only fun because it is all fondue, but it is absolutely delicious!) We had a blast sitting in our little corner booth and playing with our food and cracking eachother up (all in a very mature manner of course ;) Then we stayed the night and spent the next day shopping and just enjoying each other's company. The only disappointment was the migraine that decided to grace me shortly after dinner and lasted most of the night (NOT fun! Regular Strength tylenol is worthless with these). However, my sweet guy was there from packing my head with ice to getting up at 6am for dry toast to settle my stomach - he is so the best! It's hard to believe that it has already been 2 years. . . It just keeps getting better!

I remember our wedding day as truly the happiest and most fun day of my life! I smile just thinking about it. I think the thing that I am most thankful for about Josh is the fact that He truly seeks God with his whole heart and wants to please Him more than anything. He is constantly pointing me to Christ. He is so kind and patient with me even in the midst of my many failures =) and I know he is going to make a great daddy!

Ok - little change of subject - I am officially 10 days away from going to the hospital to be induced. The nursury is nearly done, we have the carseat and all other baby paraphanalia so all we need is our baby! I am praying that she will come early on her own or at least be near that point so that everything is not so forced, but I am also trusting God and he knows what is best. So if you think about it I would appreciate your prayers!

Sarah,
I will definately be praying for you. What is the official date of your being induced? Being induced isn't that much more painful than the natural delivery (but that's from my own experience). I'm looking forward to meeing the newest addition to your family even if it is through the internet :)

That's great that you guys were able to get away for a weekend before baby comes. Great times are still ahead, though!! Only you'll probably be dining over pizza at Chuck E Cheese -- and your heart will melt over how manly you husband looks as he helps your daughter whack those little pop-up creatures on the shark game :)

SARAH!!!! Congrats. I meant to send you a card, and it didn't happen but then I said, it'll be okay I'll call them....and I was going to then CRAZINESS happen. I'm so sorry...Please know that I thought of you guys on your anniversary and was praying for a special day! I'm glad to hear of your getaway- yuck about the migraine though. :(
Okay then I messed up again! I was going to send something to the baby shower and it came up so fast that it was too late to send something so I was going to call, but I ended up sick in ER.... so sorry! I'm really missing out. I'll try to call this week before she comes....Know that I am praying for you and thinking of you every day! I'm so excited for you.
